The exercise
This exercise asks the student to put the words and punctuation elements into the correct order by dragging them onto the gray lines. Clicking on the "Prüfen" button checks the answer. Clicking on the arrow at the top takes the student to the next sentence.
Learning strategies
Word order varies between languages, as does the use of punctuation. Such an exercise explicitly focuses on these aspects of language. Notice also how the first word on the gray lines is automatically capitalised.
Design considerations
In all of these exercises, colours can be varied. The size of this exercise is limited by the space available on the lines.
